The following FAQs should help to addresses common questions related to the events promoted by SEMVOG.

Q: What type of certification is required to officiate events promoted by SEMVOG?

A: All officials MUST be registered with AAU. Please be aware that AAU's registration process has changed. Use the following link for your AAU Membership Registration (click here)

Q: What uniform to wear?​

A: Uniform normally consists of a polo shirt with navy slacks. The polo can be plain white or a "Certified Official" polo (white, cyan, gray). The slacks should be navy blue and a blue or black belt should be worn with white socks and white athletic shoes.

Q: Where to find "Certified" apparel?​

A: The following companies are approved vendors by Professional Association of Volleyball Officials to provide the required official's uniform, equipment, and accessories for all women's and men's collegiate play.  For additional information, please contact the vendor directly.

Q: How can I get an AAU Rule Book?​

A: AAU does not print a rule book. AAU Indoor Volleyball is conducted under the AAU Code outlined within the AAU Volleyball Handbook and the current playing rules of USA Volleyball, as modified by the AAU National Executive Committee. Q: What is the officiating pay rate?​

A: There are two different pay-scales, one related to "Power League" and one related to "Tournaments".

Q: How soon can I expect compensation?​

A: 3Step Sports processes payroll via direct deposit or check issue bi-weekly. Dates are listed below.

Q: Do you provide hotel accommodations for Power League events?

A: No...we do not offer hotel accommodations for Power League events.

Q: Do you provide hotel accommodations for tournaments?

A: Yes...we do provide hotel accommodations for tournaments, to those who reside more than 60 miles from the tournament site. We've got you covered!
