What you need before you can work a SEMVOG event, and how to get it done.
AAU membership
Anyone wishing to work a SEMVOG event must be registered with AAU Sports. AAU moved to a new registration platform, which requires a new login. Your old aausports.org login will not work there.
- Buy an adult non athlete membership. This membership covers coaches, bench personnel, administrators, managers, officials, tournament directors, and volunteers. Regular membership is $55 for one year or $75 for two years. Extended coverage membership is $57 for one year or $79 for two years, and we highly recommend it.
- Agree to the background check. It is part of the membership process for every adult, and it is included in the fee at no extra charge.
- Use club code U7MJYRZSW on your application. If you have already signed up, you can add the club code to your existing membership.
Applying for a membership alone does not qualify you to officiate. Every adult must pass the background check, and background checks are only completed through the adult non athlete membership.
Membership prices are set by AAU and may change. The AAU registration site always has the current amounts.
High school matches
High school assignments require a current MHSAA officials registration for the school year. Your AAU membership does not replace it.
USA Volleyball events
Events sanctioned by USA Volleyball require USA Volleyball membership and officials certification through your region. Contact us if you are unsure which credentials an event requires.
